- You must notify the Organisers, through the medical section on the entry form, of any medical conditions that could affect your safety.
- You must attend or read the compulsory race briefing for your race. Briefings will be posted on the website and sent out by email prior to race day. There will also be a race day briefing immediately prior to the start that will include current weather and trail conditions.
- If after registering and collecting your race bib you decide to withdraw, you must notify the Organiser before the start of your event.
- If you are unable to finish the event, you must inform the nearest checkpoint of your decision to withdraw.
- If you withdraw yourself from the event whilst on the course you may be liable for transport costs.

- You must carry the mandatory gear with you at all times during the event. Your gear will be checked by Organisers at registration before your race number is issued. Spot checks will be made pre-start and/or on course and/or at the finish line. Any athlete found not to be carrying their mandatory gear will be either not permitted to start or disqualified and withdrawn from the event. This is at the sole discretion of the Race Director.
- The Race Director or a delegated member of the Event crew have the right to withdraw any competitor they feel is in distress and would not be capable of completing the event at any stage.
- The Race Director reserves the right to alter the course or implement a contingency course as required and you must follow any revised course instructions provided.
- You must keep to the marked track at all times and you must not cut corners –failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification.
- All of the courses run through privately-owned land at some point so please respect all private property both before and during the event. Participants must not take photographs of buildings and homesteads and must not harm, approach, or interfere with any stock.
- Cut-off times have been put in place to ensure the safety of everyone. If you don't leave the cut-off points on the course by the required time or you are deemed unfit to continue the race by the Organisers, you will not be allowed to continue with the race and will be re-directed on a shorter route or driven off course. Refer to the Courses page on www.thewild100.org.

Personal Safety
- The event takes place in the mountains and we remind you that in any alpine situation you are the person primarily responsible for your own personal safety and appropriate gear. There may not be someone immediately nearby to assist you when needed.
- You must carry the mandatory gear at all times, unless instructed otherwise by the Race Director. All participants must carry the same mandatory gear so no one is disadvantaged.
- The weather can change very quickly and become freezing with white-out conditions at any time of the year in this region.
- You should carry with you enough food and drink to get you through the event (e.g.snacks, energy gels, electrolyte drinks), in addition to any emergency food that is required as per the mandatory gear lists.
- The use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including Ibuprofen), amphetamines, tranquillisers and diuretics is prohibited.
- There is limited cell phone reception on the courses.
- We have a range of expert medical services throughout the courses and at the finish line. If you require medical assistance or come across an accident please make your way to the nearest aid station or checkpoint and report the accident.
- If you encounter a fellow participant who is injured or in serious difficulty, please stop and assist until officials can be notified and suitable assistance is available. If someone else is already assisting, then please proceed to the nearest radio (Aid Station/Medic/Tail EndCharlie/Marshalls) to report the situation (even if that means returning the way you came) so we can get expert help on the scene ASAP. If you assist please take a note of the time you spend assisting the injured person and we may be able to credit your final race time
